How to store Indo megs in a humidified environemnt
The best way to maintain a consistent humidity for storage is to use Bovida brand two way humidifier packets (https://store.bovedainc.com/collections/for-cigars). The 84% humidity is the safest bet to maintain color, but it appears that the 72% humidity is adequate and 69% might work as well, although I've tested that less. Teeth can be stored in thick zip lock bags along with the Bovida humidifier packets, in tupperware with packets or in a display case, such as the one shown below. All teeth that are described as being stored in a humidified environment will ship with a long lasting humidifier pack in a thick zip lock bag. For sale on the sight is a humidified display case, which includes an acrylic rectangular enclosure, a tooth stand, humidifying packet, humidity indicating test strips and an LED light. It's worth noting that once an Indo meg (or any meg) has been "dried", no amount of color, steaming or other strategy appears to be capable of reincorporating the water into the crystal structure. As such, storing megs that have already been dried in a humidified environment is not necessary. It is also important to take measures to preven thte growth of mold, which can be a problem in high humidity environments. In general, most mold grows on any remaining matrix material on the tooth, but can appear anywhere. I suggest wiping the tooth down with isopropyl alcohol before storage and once every month or so to prevent any potential mold growth. I have a large number of teeth that have been stored this way and have maintined their vibrant colors and are in identical shape as when I origionally got them.
